Backward crab walk Guide


  1. From a squat position, place your hands on the ground behind you
  2. Keeping your body tight, knees bent and close to your chest, walk backwards
    1. Use alternating hands and feet
    2. Try to lift both your hand and foot at the same time
  3. Walk for the desired number of steps
Key points
  • Keep your shoulders/scapular muscles engaged by pushing away from the ground with your arms
  • “peel” your fingers off the ground, pushing up with your wrists
  • Move in a slow, controlled manner
