Wall supported handstand pushups

In The Body Dojo, we do not practice wall supported handstand push ups with our backs facing the wall. Back facing wall handstand push ups encourage improper form and unhealthy shoulder movement.

Wall supported handstand pushups Guide
Instructions
- Get into a wall facing handstand position
- Place your hands about 1 foot away from the wall, this is to give your lower body some room to tilt
- Keeping your body in line, lower your head to the ground, about 10 inches in front of your hands
- As you lower, use the wall as support with your feet, you can take one or both feet away for increased difficulty
- Push back up into the starting position, with straight arms
Key points
- Keep your elbows pointed back
- Focus on lowering your head so it is IN FRONT of your hands. It is a common mistake for athletes to lower their head between their hands. This is not health for the shoulder joint.
