False grip pull ups Guide

Instructions

For false grip pull ups on the bar, it’s important to maintain tension in your wrists to help you hold the false grip.

  1. To get in the false grip, hook your hand above the bar, placing all of your fingers and thumbs on top of the bar
    1. You should feel pressure on the lower part of your palm
  2. Perform pull ups as normal, maintaining the false grip.

Another method for getting into the false grip is to start from a bar support position. When you are on top of the bar, your hands will already be in a false grip position if you lower down to a hang. To get into a support position, perform a pullover.
