Floor straddle leg raises Guide

Instructions

  1. Sit on the ground with your legs out straight in a straddle
  2. Place your hands on either side of your right leg with fingertips touching the ground
  3. Stretch forward until you feel a slight stretch in your hamstrings and lock your fingers into the ground
  4. Keeping your right leg straight, lift your leg off the ground
  5. Put your leg back down
  6. Repeat the movement for reps
  7. Repeat on the other leg for the same number of reps
Key points
  • Try and keep your hands in the same position while performing the leg raises
  • You do not have to lift your leg very high, an inch off the ground is just fine
  • Try to stretch further and further into the exercise the more flexible you become
