L sit to angled bent arm handstand Guide


Instructions

  1. Start from an L sit on parallettes
  2. Transition into a bent arm tuck position by simultaneously bringing your legs into a tuck and leaning forward, bending your arms
  3. Focus on pushing away from the ground with your arms and bring your legs straight out behind you, focus on keeping your legs in line with your torso
  4. Tighten your core and keep pushing away from the ground, hold this position for a moment
  5. Bring your legs back into a bent arm tuck planche
  6. Simultaneously straighten your arms and lower your butt
  7. Bring your legs out into an L sit once again, hold for a moment
  8. Repeat for reps
Key points
  • The movement is easier the closer your shoulders are to your hands in the bent arm handstand position
  • Pushing away from the ground requires additional strength
  • If you feel like you are losing your balance in the bent arm handstand, maintain the pushing motion with your arms and catch your fall with your feet
