L sit to handstand on parallettes Guide
Instructions
Before attempting this movement, be super comfortable bailing on a parallette handstand. Also being able to perform a handstand from a bent arm tuck planche position will help tremendously.
- From an L sit position on parallettes, transition into a bent arm tuck planche
- Kick your feet up simultaneously and push up into a handstand position, use the momentum of your kick to help drive you upwards into a handstand
- Control your balance at the handstand position, slowly descend back down into the L sit
- You can repeat this exercise for reps
Key points
- Timing your push up with the kick up will help you transition into the handstand
- Keep your core tight to help stabilize your line as you transition into the handstand
- As you are kicking up, lean forward to help counterbalance your weight as you balance into the handstand
