Instructions
- Start from an L sit on parallettes
- Transition into a bent arm tuck position by simultaneously bringing your legs into a tuck and leaning forward, bending your arms
- Focus on pushing away from the ground with your arms and bring your legs out into a straddle, as wide as you can go
- Tighten your core and keep pushing away from the ground, hold this position for a moment
- Bring your legs back into a bent arm tuck planche
- Simultaneously straighten your arms and lower your butt
- Bring your legs out into an L sit once again, hold for a moment
- Repeat for reps
Key points
- The movement is easier the closer your shoulders are to your hands in the bent arm handstand position
- Pushing away from the ground requires additional strength
- If you feel like you are losing your balance in the bent arm handstand, maintain the pushing motion with your arms and catch your fall with your feet
