Lizard walk Guide
Instructions
Similar to an alligator crawl, however, this movement requires you to lift your body off the ground between steps.
- Starting position:
- Position yourself in a plank pose
- Lower yourself to the ground, as if at the bottom of a pushup
- Bring your right knee up towards your right shoulder
- Bring your right elbow down right inside your right knee
- Walk:
- Push yourself up using your arms
- Simultaneously extend your right arm out in front of you and bring your left knee forward along your side
- Descend towards the ground. You should now be in the opposite position as your starting position, with your left elbow back inside your left knee
- Repeat the movement with your left side
- Repeat for required number of steps
Key points
- Try to stay as low to the ground as you can as you transition from side to side
- Move slowly and in a controlled manner, avoid “falling” into the floor
