Instructions
- Hang a rubber assist band from a height at least 5-6 feet (~2 meters) off the ground. A band weight of 10-25lbs should suffice.
- Position parallettes in front of the band so that you can get into a full planche position and your ankles will be directly underneath the band.
- Place your ankles inside the band loop
- Grasp the parallettes, which should be positioned about 2 inches wider than your shoulder width on the ground
- Straighten your arms and get into a plank position
- Hollow your body and tighten your core, shoulder, and arm muscles
- Rotate the pits of your arms forward
- Simultaneously pull your feet off the ground and lean forward, getting into a full planche position. At first your feet may only leave the ground a couple of inches, as you practice attempt to raise your feet to the level of your shoulders
- Lock out the position for the instructed amount of time
- Lower your feet to the ground safely to end your set.
