Plyometric Pistol Squat Guide

No video currently available for this exercise. We are working hard to have videos for every exercise, please check back again soon!

Instructions

  1. Perform the first phase of a pistol squat, lowering yourself to the ground on one leg
  2. Once you are in the bottom position, explode up and continue pushing with your calves and off the ground with your toes (essentially jumping up on one leg)
  3. Try to land back on the same foot while maintaining your balance. Once you recover your balance, repeat for instructed number of reps
Key Points:
  • The important aspect to this movement is to continue the pushing movement/jump in one motion. It is common to perform a normal pistol squat, then at the top of the movement doing a single leg jump. Try to avoid this.
