Instructions
- Perform the first phase of a pistol squat, lowering yourself to the ground on one leg
- Once you are in the bottom position, explode up and continue pushing with your calves and off the ground with your toes (essentially jumping up on one leg)
- Try to land back on the same foot while maintaining your balance. Once you recover your balance, repeat for instructed number of reps
Key Points:
- The important aspect to this movement is to continue the pushing movement/jump in one motion. It is common to perform a normal pistol squat, then at the top of the movement doing a single leg jump. Try to avoid this.
