Ring archer push ups Guide

Instructions

  1. Adjust the rings to about 8-10 inches above the ground
  2. Get into a plank position on the rings
  3. Perform a push ups, pushing one arm out to the side
  4. Push back to the starting position, bringing the straight arm back in
  5. Repeat extending the other arm out to the side
Key points:
  • At first the extended straight arm may not be totally straight, this is okay to start with. As you practice the movement, focus on locking out the arm and applying full tension in the arm throughout the movement
  • Rotate the shoulder of the straight arm forward to help “lock in” the shoulder
  • You can make this exercise easier by moving the rings higher.
