Ring typewriter Guide

Instructions

  1. Position the rings similar to performing ring pull ups
  2. Hanging from the rings, pull your chin above your hands
  3. Squeeze and create tension in your left arm, pressing your left hand into your left shoulder
  4. Push your right arm away from your body out to the side, locking your arm out straight
    1. Push down with your right arm to help keep your elevation
  5. Pull your right arm back to your shoulder and repeat the movement on the other side
Key points
  • At first, you may not be able to extend your arm out straight all the way, go as far as you feel comfortable and work out gradually each time you practice
  • This exercise is a push/pull combination exercise, you will be pushing down into the ground with your extending arm, and pulling up with your close arm
  • Tighten your core and create tension in your legs to keep you from swinging and your legs going wildly to the side
