Ring typewriter Guide
Instructions
- Position the rings similar to performing ring pull ups
- Hanging from the rings, pull your chin above your hands
- Squeeze and create tension in your left arm, pressing your left hand into your left shoulder
- Push your right arm away from your body out to the side, locking your arm out straight
- Push down with your right arm to help keep your elevation
- Pull your right arm back to your shoulder and repeat the movement on the other side
Key points
- At first, you may not be able to extend your arm out straight all the way, go as far as you feel comfortable and work out gradually each time you practice
- This exercise is a push/pull combination exercise, you will be pushing down into the ground with your extending arm, and pulling up with your close arm
- Tighten your core and create tension in your legs to keep you from swinging and your legs going wildly to the side
