Instructions
- Grab a pull up bar with both hands and pull yourself up halfway, with a 90 degree bend in your arms
- Focus on keeping all of the tension on your left arm, keeping the left arm bent, release your right hand off the bar. You should now be hanging off of the bar with a bent left arm.
- With your legs straight, tighten your leg muscles, bring your legs up into an L position, like a hanging L-sit
- Lower your legs, this is one rep for the hanging leg raise.
- Repeat from step 3 for extra reps.
- Repeat the exercise with the other arm
Key points:
- Your body will twist to the side of your arm, this is fine. Focus on maintaining tension in your bicep and core.
- End the set once you cannot hold yourself up with a bent arm.
- You may also be asked to switch arms every 1 or 2 reps.
