Instructions
- Starting with your hands about 6-8 inches away from a wall, kick up into a handstand against a wall (wall is at your back)
- Position your legs in a straddle, apply tension in your legs, keeping them straight
- Tilt your lower body towards your left side, bending at your hips/obliques
- Feel the weight transition onto your left hand and off of your right, maintain balance with most of the weight on your left arm and with the fingertips on your right hand
- If you lose balance and fall to the ground that’s okay, just kick up and try again
- Transition your weight back to the center
- Repeat towards your right side.
Key points
- Try to maintain tension in both your legs and core
- Keep your scapular muscles engaged by “pushing” away from the ground with the loaded shoulder
